Mentor-Protégé programs in the federal government help small businesses compete for contract awards by partnering with larger companies. DHS approved the Mentor-Protégé agreement between ADT, which has been DHS SAFETY Act certified since 2007, and SecureXperts for mutually beneficial contracting opportunities across various DHS agencies. The two companies have already begun collaborating on several business opportunities in the government arena.
